The tenns club Rungg/Ronco was founded in 1980 and is today one of the largest and experienced tennis clubs of South Tyrol. In the course of time, thanks to a special programme and its seven perfectly located fields, it has become one of the leading clubs in South Tyrol. The seven fields, six of which clay courts and one hard court, are available for courses and matches. Four of the seven fields are roofed in winter.

For the municipality of Appiano, the club is an aesthetic and sporty flagship. One of the highlights in the course of the year is the international Future Tournament (former Satellite Tournament), in which the TC Rungg has been one of the main organizers from the beginning on. Since 2004, in Ronco near Monticolo, also the only Male Single Tournament of South Tyrol takes place. Not only for this reason the tennis courts of Appiano attract attention.
