Wines and grape varieties

Numerous grape varieties are cultivated on an area of 4,000 ha, spread over the 16 villages along the South Tyrolean Wine Road

Grape and wine varieties are far from being congruent, as high-quality grapes can also be used for interesting wine blends, called Cuvée (a French term, from the Latin "cūpa" = barrel). These mixtures of different wine varieties are renowned far and wide. In this case, new high-level taste experiences are the aim of all wine cellar masters - and, of course, a creative challenge for them.
