Markets, fairs and shopping

The villages in the surroundings of Bolzano offer a wide range of opportunities for shopping

Shopping in South Tyrol is a real experience. Italian fashion, special delicacies, innovative products, combined with Mediterranean flair and South Tyrolean down-to-earthiness.

Those who would like to stroll through a market trying to find some typical South Tyrolean products will make a find along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Every day, from March to November, there is a weekly or farmers’ market in one of the villages along the South Tyrolean Wine Route. The largest offer can of course be found in Bolzano.

There are also some specialized fairs such as on climate houses which are also known abroad, but also fairs on interesting subjects such as wines, sports and much more.

Many villages offer shops and cafés where you can perfectly conclude your shopping days. Particularly recommendable for a drink is the centre of Bolzano.

Pure shopping adventures are guaranteed by the long shopping evenings offered by some villages. Opening hours until 10 pm. is offered by Ora, Caldaro, Appiano and Bolzano in July and August.
