There are numerous places and spots of land in the surroundings of Appiano that really deserve to be visited.

> Make a trip to the Mendola and walk through the fresh forest. Also the Val di Non has got much to offer.
> The Alpe di Siusi is a place that is absolutely worth to be visited. This region offers vast and lush meadows in summer and snow as far as the eye can see in winter.
> In Termeno, a neughbouring locality of Caldaro, you can admire the church Kastelaz and relax while walking through the centre of the village. Also the Rechtenthal Castle and the village museum are open to the public.
> The “Bletterbach” canyon near Aldino is also called “the canyon of South Tyrol”. Guided tours are available.
> The biotope of Castelfeder is a place where you can regain your strength.
> Don’t forget the Renon and its famous earth pillars!
> The white Dolomite mountains are only a two-hours’ drive away. The Marmolata as well as the distinctive Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the Sesto Dolomites are a must for those who love the mountains.
Other destinations for trips: Venice, the Lake Garda, the fun park Gardaland, the old centre of Milan, Verona and its famous arena, the museum for modern art MART in Rovereto etc.
