Mountains

Appiano is not located in the heart of the Dolomites, but is yet only a stone’s throw away.

Appiano is located at the Mendola mountain range, which is of course not comparable to the famous “pale mountains”, as the Dolomites are called. Nevertheless the Penegal, the Passo della Mendola, the Monzoccolo or the Monte Regolo provide a series of great hiking areas, offering a great view on the Natural World Heritage site of the Dolomites.

From Appiano, however, you can also enjoy a fabulous view on the Sciliar, which is described in detail in one of the following articles.
