The Angerburg is a noble house built in 1608. At the beginning the property was a farmhouse, which was later extended in the typical Oltradige architectural style.
The first owner came from the little town of Angerburg in East Prussia (today Poland). In the 18th century the residence belonged to the von Dellemann family, in the 19th century to the Lords of Mackowitz. Today the residence is owned by the Obletter family and has been converted into a well-run hotel with restaurant and café.
Inside the house, the Angerburg has a room arrangement according to the Oltradige architectural style. On each floor the rooms are grouped symmetrically around a large central hall. The Oltradige architectural style represented a new principle according to the winding architectural style of the Middle Ages. The windows in the rooms are square, but the central halls are characterised by coupled arched windows. The ancient rooms can still be visited today.
The Residence Angerburg is centrally located and a perfect starting point for walking tours or hikes, for example to the Gleif Church, the lakes of Monticolo or to Predonico/Gaido. A lovingly designed garden at the house invites guests to relax.
