Adventure park in Caldaro

There is another leisure time facility that is worth to be mentioned in this section, that is to say the adventure park in the sports area of S. Antonio. The Castelvecchio forest in the sports area of S. Antonio in Caldaro provides a particular atmosphere and attracts a large number of people in spring, summer and autumn, but also in winter.

This magic attraction has been discovered by people who are familiar with climbing and high rope courses. In spring 2008, on the right edge of the forest, close to the sports area of S. Antonio, along the walking trail to Castelvecchio, a high rope course with climbing stations of all levels of difficulty has been established. Half a hectare of forest is equipped with single stations and courses, including 90 elements divided on 10 different high rope courses. Additionally, there are 16 Flying Fox slides and 9 stations in the “Sumsi” area for kids starting from 3 as well as a baby-fox.

Mighty spruces, figs and larch trees provide the basis for the wooden platforms, that are connected by bridge elements such as nets, bars, tree trunks and funiculars. Of course there are also simple variants for kids. The connections of the “stations” are 3 to 60 m long.

By the way: most important to the operators is the preservation and safeguarding of the forest. Harmony between nature and the single climbing modules is also self-evident. Pure adventure in the Castelvecchio forest!
