Cycle track from Appiano to Caldaro

Also the neighbouring municipality can be reached on the cycling route, which is also popular for promenading.

Orientation and directions are really simple: from the roundabout at the end of Via Stazione in S. Michele you proceed in southern direction, following the main route and the marked trail n°22. This cycle track takes you past the tavern “Christl im Loch“, ideal for a stop, to Caldaro, that is to say to the steam engine, a former locomotive of the Oltradige railway. The trail is very famous with cyclists and also promenaders.

Along the route, there are also some children’s playgrounds. It stretches past fruit orchards and vineyards and leads across forested areas. It is explicitly destined for pedestrians and families, for this reason cyclists should have regards for them.
