Wineries in Appiano
The wineries in Appiano have a good reputation and their products are able to compete on the international market.
Always have the cellar masters of Appiano very strenuous, which is closely intertwined with the structure of the soil. Farmers started their wine production in the various winery cooperatives. In other words, many viticulturalists joined in order to form one common winery.
They hired some staff in order to be able to concentrate on the cultivation of grapes. The wineries processed the harvest and cultivated their wines, also important was the appropriate marketing. Still today it is the same.
Since one decade and more (effective 2008) several single viticulturalists own their private winery. They are trying hard to find niches, filling them with their knowledge and fitting, sophisticated products. The success of these initiatives speaks for itself.
Wines are available in wine stores, in the shops of the larger wineries and at the farmsteads that produce their own wine.
