The Penegal provides a panoramic view of the Valle dell’Adige and the Dolomites or the Lagorai mountain ridge behind the Regglberg.
One of the highest points of the Mendola mountain ridge is the 1,737 m high Penegal. On the summit of the Mendola ridge there is a hotel, which has once been one of the major spas, but in the course of time went to racks. Since May 2011 it has been taken into operation and serves all those who seek the distance and the panoramic view (on the surroundings) at the same time, and of course relaxation.
Close to the viewpoint, located near the hotel, there is also a kiosk offering refreshments to all those who would like to spend some time in this place, or make a walk. The Penegal can by the way be reached by car on a serpentine road of 3.9 km.
The Penegal provides a unique panoramic view, including the Brenta mountains, the Ortles mountains, the Dolomites and the peaks of the Lagorai. It is considered one of the most beautiful viewpoints of South Tyrol and is also site of a transmitter mast rising further in the north and well-perceivable from afar.
